It’s San Diego Comic-Con week, and that means news, it means cosplay, and it means—whether you’re on the convention floor or not—oodles of fancy exclusive toys and merch to tempt your wallet with. There’s a lot on offer this year, both at SDCC itself and online during the event, so here’s our annual round ups of just some of our favorite toys, posters, and collectibles debuting at Comic-Con this year.
Scott C. Great Showdowns Prints
We at io9 love Scott C.’s Great Showdowns series—we gave you the first exclusive look at his incredible Across the Spider-Verse art earlier this year–and a few more prints from the artist are becoming available at the show floor and online, including TMNT: Mutant Mayhem and Deadpool & Wolverine entries for Great Showdowns, and prints inspired by the cars of pop culture and Hellboy. All these will be available online from July 24.
Elhoffer Design Gifted Claws Cardigan
Get your Deadpool & Wolverine premiere fashion game sorted with this nifty, bold cardigan inspired by Wolverine’s suit. Act fast though: just 50 will be available at Elhoffer’s booth for $100.
Mutant Daniel Danger Fallout Poster
Amazon’s Fallout show is fresh off its Emmy nominations, and Daniel Danger’s cool poster weaves Maximus, Lucy, and the Ghoul through the ruined frame of a giant set of Power Armor. This colorway is exclusive to the show floor, but a timed alternate variant will be available online starting at 10am on Wednesday, July 24, until 10am PT on Wednesday, July 31.
Super7 TMNT Ultimates Mikey’s Pizza Party Wagon and Chef Mikey Figure
This special variant of Super7’s Party Wagon—scaled to its 7″ Ultimates figures—comes with a retro pizzeria-inspired colorway, and a special box inspired by a pizza delivery box. Of course, every good delivery vehicle needs a themed driver, so there’s also a special “Chef Mikey” variant of Super7’s ultimates release, complete with an apron, chef’s hat, and more accessories available separately. The Pizza Wagon and Chef Mikey will debut at Super7’s special TMNT pop up at the con, before becoming available in limited quantities online after the convention ends on July 29.
100% Soft X-Men ’97 Pins
The cutesy emojified aesthetic of 100% Soft is iconic to Marvel fans at this point, and now they’re coming for the heroes and villains of X-Men ’97. That Basketball Remy is so good.
Jazwares Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron X-Wing and TIE Fighter Game Console
Jazware’s delightful spiritual successor to the Action Fleet line gets one of the coolest exclusives of the con with this two-pack inspired by the classic Star Wars arcade game. The special cabinet-themed packaging lights up to reveal the glow-in-the-dark X-Wing and TIE Fighter models, which themselves have wireframe-inspired art decos.
Hasbro Marvel Legends Death’s Head
The first of several exclusive figures Hasbro is releasing at the con this year, Death’s Head is a kooky, classic comics character who’s touched all sorts of corners of Marvel’s comics history, from its Transformers books, to Marvel UK’s Doctor Who series, to mainstay superheroic heavy-hitters like the X-Men. With packaging inspired by the iconic Marvel trading cards of the ’90s, Death’s Head will be available for $40; he’ll also be purchasable online from Hasbro Pulse during the convention.
DC Comics Superman Logo Merch
We’ve seen the new shield logo for James Gunn’s Superman movie already, but now you’ll be able to wear it, carry it around, pin it on things, and read comics with it on the cover, as well as much more at DC Comics’ booth.
Mondo Batman 1989 Original Motion Picture Score LP & Graphic Novel Set
Mondo’s vinyl of the legendary Danny Elfman soundtrack returns in a new colorway—and with an added bonus in the form of the graphic novel collection of DC’s movie continuation, Batman ’89. It’ll cost $55, and be available online as well as at Mondo’s booth.
Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Darth Maul and Sith Speeder
Another big Hasbro exclusive at the convention this year is in celebration of The Phantom Menace‘s 25th anniversary: pairing Darth Maul, his probe droid, and his speeder bike from the first prequel in a box inspired by that iconic 1999 toy packaging. Like Hasbro’s other exclusives, Maul (who costs $60) will also be available to purchase from Hasbro Pulse during the convention.
Diamond Marvel Jeff the Land Shark Kuricha Plush
Everyone’s favorite land shark just got even cuter with this adorable plush, featuring swimming goggles and an X-Men themed inflatable ring. Just 1,500 will be available from the Diamond Previews booth during the con.
Mattel Jurassic World Jimmy Buffett Action Figure
We’ve written about this one already, but it’s so good that we can’t help but include it here, too. Multiple margs! A box shaped like a pitcher! Multiple margs! Thankfully, we can all get in on the Jimmy Buffett happy hours, because he’ll be available for $30 online and at Mattel’s booth during the convention.
Mezco G.I. Joe One:12 Snake Eyes (Commando Edition)
Mezco’s Snake Eyes figure returns with a new variant clad in tactical gear and enough firearms to bring down a small country—or a Cobra base, take your pick. You can join the waitlist online for a chance to preorder the figure for shipment after SDCC, but he’ll also be available at Mezco’s booth for $112.
McFarlane Toys Batman Beyond Bruce Wayne and Ace 2-Pack
After years of Batman: The Animated series figures, now McFarlane’s DC Universe line is more eagerly dipping into the animated stylings of Batman Beyond, with this exclusive two-pack of Old Man Bruce Wayne, and Ace the Bathound. Never has a figure of a senior citizen been so exciting, or so stylish.
S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Goku, Gohan, and Kintoun
It’s one of several Bandai Dragon Ball exclusives at the convention this year, but certainly the most sought after: an updated re-release of the Figuarts Goku and kid Gohan figures, paired with all new face parts, as well as the flying Kintoun cloud, to recreate iconic moments from Dragon Ball Z‘s opening.
Mattel Mini Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House
Sublime indeed! This $50 miniature replica of Barbie’s Dream House from the film—transformed by the power of the patriarchy into the Mojo Dojo Casa House—isn’t full Barbie-doll-sized, but it does come with a miniaturized Ken to lounge about his own personal Kendom in. Like Mattel’s other exclusives, this will also be available online during the con.
Loungefly Spider-Man Lenticular Backpack
See through Spidey’s eyes with this adorable backpack of the webslinger, which features a glow-in-the-dark webbing background behind an upside-down Peter himself, who has massive lenticular lenses on his mask to create a reflection of the NYC skyline.
Hallmark Star Trek Generations Enterprise-B (Nexus Damage) Keepsake Ornament
Hallmark has a ton of great new nerdy ornaments ready for the holidays this year, but if you want something extra special, this battle-damaged version of the Enterprise-B can be yours from Hallmark’s booth this year.
Funko’s Many, Many Pop! Vinyls
And last, but by certainly no means least, every SDCC Funko goes all out on a swath of exclusive Pop! Vinyl figures that are both available from its booth during the convention, and then online through its store and across a plethora of other retailers. Click here to learn more about just where online you can pick up some of the new figurines, which include everything from Darth Vader and Grand Admiral Thrawn, to Lord Soth from D&D, to sets from Wednesday, Marvel Comics, Jujustsu Kaisen, and even the literal god of all Pokémon, Arceus. It’s a lot! It’s always a lot.
